US Egg Crisis Leads To ‘Eggstraordinary’ Memes…

It seems border security is no yolk. US Customs and Border Protection officials have scrambled to warn US citizens not to smuggle eggs from Mexico, despite eggstreme prices in the US. Egg prices have hit almost 50 cents apiece in California, but can be found at a fifth of the price south of the border, prompting egg lovers to risk putting all their eggs in one basket in a trip over the border.

The agency has warned that anyone found over their personal egg use allowance (which apparently is a thing) will face a fine of between $300 and $10,000, depending on who you ask.
